SECTION I: The name of the Club shall be "Cam Twisters Fresno" (CTF). The principle location for CTF shall be in the greater Fresno California area. SECTION II: CTF is to serve as a medium for the exchange of ideas, information, and auto parts, for members of CTF. Moreover, to aid members in their efforts to maintain and preserve positive Hot Rod/Street Rod traditions. SECTION III: To unite in a central organization the owners of Hot Rods and Street Rods, who are interested in building, restoring and maintaining their vehicle, in a manner to attract prestige and respect within the Hot Rodding community. It shall further be the objective of CTF, to help its members become better acquainted, encouraging the spirit of good fellowship socia- bility and fair play through CTF sponsored activities, events, and gatherings, which includes the use of their vehicles and family participation. |
CTF shall be a non-profit organization according to California law, and no member or members shall receive any financial profit for their activities either currently or at the time of dissolution. In the event of dissolution, all assets remaining shall be assigned to a charitable organization specified by the general membership. |
| ARTICLE II NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION |
| ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP RIGHTS, REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES THEREOF |
SECTION I: There shall be one type of member in the CTF, that being an Active Member: A. Each dues paying member shall be entitled to all CTF publications, insignia and privileges. B. Each dues paying member shall have one (1) vote. A husband and wife shall each have the right to vote, providing each co-own the CTF accepted Hot Rod or Street Rod, each are active in CTF and each have paid yearly dues. C. CTF shall currently limit membership to 25 families or 50 voting members. If a voting member's vehicle is sold or classified non-street legal due to an accident, the member has eighteen months (18) to secure an acceptable replacement that is street legal, as described in Section II (A) below.
A. The ownership of an American manufactured vehicle, or one that has at least 90% American components. The vehicle must be accepted by the CTF members, licensed, insured, street legal and operational. The vehicle must also be pre 1970. B. Have a desire to take an active part in all CTF activities, events and gatherings. Be committed to the stated objectives of CTF. Exceptions for taking part in a CTF activity, event or gathering shall include but not be limited to, employment conflicts, monetary restraints, family emergencies, illness, travel, etc.
A. Submit a written application including a brief personal profile to the CTF Membership Chairperson. Provide a photo of the vehicle and have the vehicle(s) inspected by three (3) CTF members. B. Attend three (3) consecutive CTF recognized activities, events or gatherings and two (2) CTF general meetings. (Attendance at CTF recognized activities, events or gatherings is critical to allow as many CTF members as reasonable, to meet and socialize with the applicants). Exceptions shall be as stated in Section II (B) above. Further, the applicant must advise a CTF member of their inability to attend. Advising a member shall exempt a prospective member from the consecutive activity, event or gathering requirement. C. After completing the "requirements for membership: as outlined in Section III (B) above, the prospective member shall be advised NOT to attend the next general meeting. At the non-attended meeting, the prospective members(s) shall be voted on by a majority of the CTF members. The President of the CTF shall notify the applicant of their acceptance or denial for CTF membership. D. Applicant(s) acceptance as members shall be voted on only when a majority of the CTF members are present. Five (5) "no" votes, by the CTF members present constitutes denial of membership.
